Vintage Circa 1930's Pincushion Half Dolls
The adorable pincushion dolls are circa 1930’s, some made be earlier than 1930. The dolls are all considered “half dolls”, they are more like the bust & head only. They are made of porcelain. 3 are made in Germany and one in Japan. The listing is to purchase just one of the four dolls. Please make sure you select which doll(s) you want to add to the cart. All four are in excellent shape!
History/Information: Pincushion dolls are not really dolls and some were not even pincushions. Some collectors use the term "half-doll." The top half of each doll was made of porcelain. The edge of the half-doll was made with several small holes for thread, and the doll was stitched to a fabric body with a voluminous skirt. The voluminous skirt took place of “legs” and held the doll up when on display.
