Lost and found again, textiles!
Whippoorwill Quilts was born in December 2018, from a love of old things and the stories they carry! We search for vintage quilts, feed sacks, fabrics, quilt tops and collectible textiles—pieces that have already lived a life and deserve to keep being loved…
And they are getting harder and harder to find.
We think of ourselves as more than collectors or sellers. We’re stewards of these old textile collections — finding them, saving them, learning their stories when we can, and helping them find their way into the hands of the next person who will appreciate them.

We are so happy you found our quilt shop! We sell genuine, handmade vintage & antique quilts, as well as collective textiles. We find these vintage and antique collectibles all over the country, clean & process each quilt, top, or feed/flour sack, and list them for you every week. Restocks are announced on Instagram and Facebook as soon as we know the restock date. Every quilt & textile leaves our shop ready to use and enjoy. Vintage Feed Sacks - Large, TRIPLETS - 3 Matching Sacks

Vintage Flour Sack Dresses, 2 Available
Dimensions, while lying flat:
Sweetheart Sugar: top of shoulder to waist is 17”. From waist to hem is 30.5”. Across the waist is 21”
Sunshine Sunflowers: top of shoulder to waist is 17”. From waist to hem is 32”. Across the waist is 21".5”.
Condition: 5 Star Condition
Details: Both dresses are double sided printing. They are made of the same sacks throughout for each. These charming flour sack dresses are a beautiful tribute to American resourcefulness and creativity. One dress is crafted from Sweetheart Sugar flour sacks, featuring vintage heart graphics and colors that capture the warmth and nostalgia of a bygone era. The second dress is made from Sunflower Sunshine Seed sacks, showcasing cheerful, farm-inspired imagery of Sunflowers, that reflects practical beauty.
The are no holes, or seam pops! We also found no stains.
Vintage Blue and White "Embroidered Stories" Quilt
Make: Hand Quilted & Hand Pieced & Hand Embroidered
Dimensions: 58” x 72”
SPI: 9 to 10
Condition: 4.5 Star Condition
Details: This is what we would call a lightweight quilt! The background of the quilt is white. The sashing and embroidery thread are cornflower blue. The binding matches the blue fabrics. This is an all-cotton quilt. There are 30 8” blocks, all expertly hand embroidered by “Mary Keller”. It is signed in the bottom right corner, and outline of her hand is embroidered too — and it lists that she is “age 10 years” old. AMAZING!!! The are no holes, tears, or seam pops. There is some spotting on the front and the back — untreated. These spots/stains are the only reason for the lower rating — this is a phenomenal quilt. The majority of the spots are on the back of the quilt. This quilt has been carefully washed and air dried. Please view all pictures before buying.

Vintage Colorful Variety - 3 Sacks Available

Floral and Stripes are both smaller — the blue stripe sack has been turned into a tea towel.

Vintage ALL Flour Sack "Tassels" Toddler Coverlet
Dimensions: 43” x 43”

Condition: 5 Star Condition
Details: This is what we would call a VERY light weight coverlet, as it is one layer and no batting. This is all flour sack, the center sack is the cutest orange, yellow, and blue tassels. The outside frame, on all four sides is a soft-blue! This would be very similar to a cotton-linen baby swaddle. The are no holes, or seam pops! We also found no stains. This quilt has been carefully washed and air dried. Please view all pictures before buying.
