Products We Use
We get a lot of questions about how we run Whippoorwill Quilts and what we use to clean quilts, date fabrics, determine feed sack history, remove stains, etc. We are more than happy to share this information. So, we have compiled a list of our most used items! We have broken this down into two categories: Quilt Research Books and Textile Cleaning Products.

Textile Cleaning Products
Distilled White Vinegar
We use white vinegar to make the oxy clean “fizz”! Don’t use too much!
Color Catchers
We use these in the case that we feel color dye could “transfer”. These color catchers help ensure that color does not bleed over other areas of the quilt! They “catch” the color!
Free and Clear Laundry Detergent
Oxi Clean Odor Blaster
Mix with vinegar for the quilt soaking.
Glass Ball Jars (Wide Mouth)
We use these for our oxiclean and vinegar mixture. It is just a nice way to mix it up before pouring it into the quilt/tub to soak.
